Process Flow Diagram.

It is likely that at some point we have had doubts about whether to develop a Flowchart of Process It was merely a requirement that multinational companies had to meet; however, if we want to understand and visualize a process (or work activity),  The answer is that the flowchart will help us because it is a graphical representation of the sequence of steps or activities of a process and is applicable to any undertaking, business or company that we have or collaborate in, regardless of its social purpose or commercial activity.

This diagram will help us see in more detail what our process consists of and how the different activities interact with each other. It will also help us analyze and improve our process. The following image shows a simple example of a process flow diagram.

Some of the reasons why a flowchart is usually created are:

  • Documenting a process.
  • To know the general idea (of a process).
  • Solve quality problems.
  • Solve productivity problems.

Therefore, if you are in the development stage of a business or entrepreneurial venture, or if you want to implement a new process or improve an existing one, it is always advisable to create a process flow diagram to visualize the business idea, understand its scope, analyze alternative solutions for the stages that require decision-making, and understand how other areas or processes will interact to achieve your or the company's objective.
